With COVID 19 having wrecked havoc on the 2020 season, I thought this might be a good Saturday to start ranking some of the all-time greats at each position in the SoCon, starting with running back. That would be a natural starting point for the SoCon, since for most of its existence, its identity has been the ground game. With that said, it looks like the fall for most of us who cover college football, and in particular for me, the Southern Conference, will spend the spring dredging up old memories from some of the great players, games and seasons from the past.
